When affiliates promote the same product whose link do I click?

Recently I’ve had a flood of emails promoting the highly acclaimed “Stomping The Search Engines 2” (STSE 2.0). Every one, I mean every one was promoting this product. From the top known gurus to people like me, who are less known by the masses. I ordered the product of course and can’t wait to learn from the Stomper net team. Now, here is the interesting thing, out of over 20 emails I received promoting this product I only clicked 1 link and it was not from the first email I received.I am so used to being pitched to such that I now know how to ignore even the most “hyped” email that comes my way. In this case only one out of 20 or so got to me.How did Marc Lindsay from PLRPro get to me?

  1. The email was personal: told me a story about his life and I related. I knew it was a sales pitch but just like in the movies (where you know it’s fiction) I just loved the story line. His story was real but his intention was to sell – I didn’t care.
  1. He pre-sold to me months ago – I was signed up to PLRpro months ago and loved his approach. He made an impression then and months later he is still reaping the fruits. I felt like I owed him when I unsubscribed – I mean after allowing me to enroll free into their 90 day challenge that has seen be growing my VRE empire like crazy.
  1. His message title “my personal story – stomping the search engines” was convincing and the rest didn’t do it for me. Here are some of the title that came my way but failed to convince me:

” (urgent – free Google course”, “open this ASAP”, “My best source of traffic is…”

I am not saying these titles don’t work, but I am saying they didn’t do it for me. In fact some of them were written by people I admire more than Marc but for some reason they failed to get me to click.

I hope you can get what I am trying to say;

  1. Most often being personal works. People are tired of being sold to – they want to hear how Internet marketing has changed lives and want to draw inspiration from that. Tell people your personal story and they will want to follow your Internet marketing strategies and even buy your products.
  1. Never underestimate the power of reciprocation. Help people today and they will reward you tomorrow and next year and the next year. Do it without making it feel like they owe you.
  1. Write powerful titles: you can have the best written article or sales pitch that would drive conversions to the roof, but without a great title, no one will ever read it.

    Hi Mfundo

    What you are saying is so true.

    I think in life we get so caught up in business that we tend to lose sight of the fact that life is more than just business.

    Business is in fact life, and life is about people and relationships. When we start focusing on people instead of money and deals, business will start flowing.

    My wife always reminds me that people live by emotions.

    Let us start getting real and in touch with the people around us

    Kind Regards

    Christo
