First, let me thank you for taking your time to visit this blog, which is dedicated to internet marketing strategies for beginners and experts. It is people like you who make it worth it to keep writing posts and trying to help others make money online. After all what motivation could I get to undertake endless research in order to come up with the most informative posts if no one was reading & commenting on them.
Secondly, let me also congratulate you for deciding to start generating wealth through internet marketing. If you truly commit yourself to this venture, that is, take your time to research, read what others have done and subscribe to the most informative websites or blogs in order to stay up to date with internet marketing developments, then you will see true wealth coming your way. By the way, if you do not have the time to do all the research, then finding educational blogs such as this one and subscribing to them could still see you making lots of money online.
Internet marketing is like any other business. It is not a way to make a quick buck. At least that is how I see it. Sure with some programs you can make instant wealth – that I can not dispute, in fact I know some internet marketers who have made literally millions overnight. This can happen to you too but do not base your internet marketing venture on it. You are not here to gamble but to build real wealth. You need to work just as hard, develop effective internet marketing strategies learn just as hard and give it time to grow before you expect to live off of it.
When I started about two years ago I had a lot of great expectations about making easy money online. You know being introduced to Google Adsense and all. To think you can make money just by getting someone to click on something they are looking for. Wow! This was mind blowing. With 3 billion people using the net, I could only imagine how many millions I could make if I had a website and have all those people clicking my Google adsense. Boy was I so wrong. Anyway I started reading up more about it and every day it was confirmed that I could make a lot of money from this program alone.
Then I started reading about developing the best website, they told me to start with what I love. I love my country so I thought I would build a website about it. Afterall so many people had so many misconceptions about it all over the world. I thought if I could come up with a site that has all the accurate information about it then I could make people see it for the “truly royal experience” that it is instead of being seen as one the poorest, HIV.AIDS infested country. I cheked the stats and they told me about 1 million people search for my country info online per month. This was a great opportunity, so it seemed.
I poured my heart and soul into it and set it up using one keyword. That is, my country name. If you don’t know anything thing about keywords, don’t worry we will talk more about it in the posts. To cut a long story short. The keyword I was targeting has about 100 million pages already. Now if you have been online for a while then you know how ridiculously crazy I was. At this time I didn’t know anything about Page Rank (PR), the importance of links, Search Engine Optimization and all the online applications that make you #1 on search engines.
Things did not go as planned, there was no traffic for months despite my efforts to market the website. People were not clicking on the adverts and for those who clicked it was merely cents that could not take me anywhere. I almost quit after 6 monthts of working hard with no fruits. Fortunately something kept me going. I kept reading about how much others were making online and I felt something must have gone wrong in my internet marketing strategy.
So I started buying ebooks and subscribing to mailing lists. Infact I opened a new Yahoo email address specifically for the newsletters. As I read up about internet marketing strategies, I started to see my own errors. I realised what I had done wrong and how I was going to fix it. This is where niche marketing online comes in.
[Note: to make money online, you need to be ready to make some kind of monetary investment. From time to time you will be required to buy something that would be of benefit to you. For one, you need to buy a domain and hosting service before you set up a website]
I will not go through what I did to fix the problem since this whole blog is about that. Instead I will tell you that I have learnt a lot and through applying good internet marketing strategies I am making descent income from it. I own a number of websites in different niches and all bring in some siginificant income. As a person who is passionate about teaching, I decided to help other internet marketing beginners and probably those who have been online for some time with no real fruits, to start making real money online.
