By nature I am a very methodological person – I do stuff by the book. When I tell a story I tell it to the letter – when I make a budget I do it to the last cent, when I engage my self in a project, I do not take short cuts. I am thorough period. I don’t remember how may times my friends have told me to just get to the point when I try to tell a story or clarify a point, How my fiancée keeps telling me to be spontaneous to heighten the romance in our relationship. I do try believe me I do.

But for me being methodological works – hence my strategic approach to every thing even internet marketing – okay I know some of you learned people will argue that strategy is not rigidity or something like that, I know that but for the sake of peace, flow with me for a second.  Essentially I am a very calculating human being and nothing can ever go past me with ease.

 Educational background 

In terms of qualification, I hold  a Bachelor of Commerce Degree with a major in Marketing from the University of Swaziland (UNISWA). I currently co-own a very successful marketing company, founded in 2005 and soon to launch a subsidiary in another country somewhere in the SADC region. We currently have a good client portfolio including a few multinational companies. Besides being a shareholder, I am also a strategic and media Director i.e. develop communications strategies and media strategies. I also head the research department and the online unit (not a fully fledged department). We have also launched a second media company to publish a lifestyle magazine. It is also doing good considering its age. Don’t worry I still do have the time for my very successful internet business – did I tell you I think I am a workaholic – I think – I’m yet to be diagnosed.

I am on my way to becoming a registered persons for trading stocks on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE). Trading stocks is  a financially rewarding hobby of mine, which makes me some cash on the side.

 Marketing experience 

I have been a marketer for more than 4 years now, but only began internet marketing late 2006. This is not to say there is nothing I can tell you about it. I will not flutter you with how much I make online on a monthly basis but will promise you success if you choose to trust my internet marketing strategies provided free on this blog.

The first time I got hit by the internet marketing revelation was when I was searching for information about setting up out company website. You see, I am this kind of person who doesn’t mind taking some time out to learn something new. My marketing firm, that I co-founded and co-own, was looking into venturing into online marketing and we needed an expert. I didn’t know jack about web development or internet marketing. I had heard about it at school by honestly  – I crammed my way out of the e-commerce class o r was it just a chapter on e-commerce. So anyway, being the curious minded fella that I am, I decided to buy a book to teach me Dreamwever MX2004. It took me a month to come up with a good site.

Oh by the way, before that, I had spent 12 months learning flash MX, not to say I am an expert – I have always been fascinated by animations so I thought flash would help me learn to animate. The reason why I switched to Dreamweaver was  because of the very reason why I have this blog- to be able to effectively market my products and services online through various modes especially search engine optimization. Don’t be discouraged if you don’t know any of these programs, you don’t need them to be successful online.

 Extra curricula activities other than developing internet marketing strategies 

Other than these, I used to sing, not professionally but in church sometime ago. Did that for a while until I met my girlfriend who could sing far better than me and I stopped ha! ha!. I moved into music programming and was pretty good at it until, well – I finished college and had to focus on work. I will soon be launching a site to promote a friend of mine’s original music creation, in fact we used to be partners in our production company now he has his own music thing going and he just got married and I was the best man! Congrats Shakesy.

Okay, by now , you have a pretty good idea who you are dealing with. I am as real as you are and have aspirations about online success just like you. I work a 8 – 5 job, if you call running your own offline business “working”. Otherwise I spent literally all my “free” time on the internet even though the speed is terribly frustrating in this part of the globe. This is why what others can do in 3 months, I normally do it in 5 or even 6 that is if I exert as much effort as every one else. If I have to equal or beat them, then I have to work twice as hard and how possible is that when there are only 24 hours in a day – get my point?
